(More customer reviews)I was fully prepared to return this case based on its $[...] price tag. A decent case with a 400W power supply for $[...], are you kidding me? Well, I was very pleased with what I received.
Case: The case is well built with most internal edges folded over to prevent cutting yourself. The steel is surprisingly light, but not flimsy. Both side panels are removable with two plastic coated hand screws.
Inside: There are CPU cut-outs which are nice, and about 6 holes in the back to route your cables. All common screws for installing your Mobo are included. I had no problem guiding the power cables behind the board to keep the case looking fairly neat. With both sides removed you can easily access both sides of the drive bay.
Front Panel: The front panel looks nice and is built better than expected for a case in this price range. There are 3 removable panels, and the bottom panel is a press-to-open fold down panel that reveals a 3.5" floppy drive slot. Nice touch since we all know that floppy drive won't see much action. All 4 USB ports, and headphone/microphone jacks are on the top part of the front panel; this works as long as you plan to have the case on the floor. If you plan to keep this on your desk, the cord will be in the way of your DVD/CD drive. I think iMicro made the right choice in putting them on the top.
Fans: There are no case fans included with this case, but that's to be expected for the price. There are however 6 slots for fans to be installed. There is one 80/90mm back slot, three 80mm left side slots(one on top [my fan was too thick to allow the cover to close with this fan in - a definite design error], and two horizontal side-by-side slots toward the bottom), and two 60 mm right side slots (vertical side-by-side). Although filling all these slots would add an additional $30 to overall cost, even most of the high end cases don't include all possible fans. The fact that there is the option for that many fans makes this case quite usable.
Power Supply: I can't tell you much about the power supply. It includes the typical 24 pin (20+4), and 4 pin Mobo connectors. It has two cables that each have two 4 pin accessory connectors. One of these two cables has a daisy chained smaller 4 pin connector (for floppy). I believe you can just add on additional expansion connectors in most situations, but this seems like another design flaw. If you have room for as many as 8 drives requiring connectors, why do you only include 4 accessory connectors? Most people won't even use all four of those connectors, but you should be aware of the issue.
Conclusion: I am thrilled with this purchase. For $[...] (or even $50) I would expect a poorly built, cheap looking, difficult to work with case. Instead I received a very well built, nice looking, easy to work with case. The only three (minor) issues are the upper fan slot on the left side (but do I really need that 6th fan?), the cable lengths, and only 4 accessory power connectors. BTW, free super saving shipping is included (I would have paid $20 just to have this shipped from any other company on the web - I live in Hawaii), and you don't even have to send for a rebate to get this price!
