I challenge ANYONE out there to present a better value in a computer chassis design than the NZXT Beta Evo! Lets go over the list of reason why I think this case is a perfect fit for many setups regardless of the priceAt $[...] the Evo beta is one heck of a deal!

Fans Galore, and big ones at that!In my review of cases I have found many to like on the surface but was disappointed with their cooling ability. my boxes usually run something with a dual GTX295 or the like.I need the cooling! The NZXT Beta Evo offers positions for Six different case fans. 1-Front, 1-rear, 2-Side, 2-Top.Four of the positions support up to 120mm size. The other two on top go up to 140mm size. All of the fan positions allow for the next size down with dual mounting holes (120/140 and 140/120). There is only one case fan delivered with the NZXT Beta Evo in the front. It's and excellent RIFLE bearing 120mm fan with the typical blues LEDs.I like the fact I can choose my own fans for the rest of the case. The bottom mounted power supply also has it's own filtered opening for air intake. All of the expansion slots and drive bay for the NZXT Beta Evo are a mesh design to allow airflow.Hidden behind the front plastic bezel are several more ventilation holes.Even if you don't get any more fans for the NZXT Beta Evo the combination of air intake locations for this case will provide excellent convective airflow for most setups with average cooling requirements.

Small size. This case offers the ability to lay flat inside a 19 inch rack. Okay so not everyone has this as one of their purchase points. But I wanted a chassis that could either stand up or lay flat inside a cabinet without getting scrapped up when I put it in.I also wanted a case that could offer the ability to be place on the desk or under it without taking up too much space, yet still be able to be stuffed full of components. Sorry full sized fans, but I love capable mid-tower designs. The NZXT Beta Evo is a good one!

Excellent interior space.Due you have an SLI setup?Do you have a large heatsink like the Zalman CNPS10X Extreme or the Thermalright TRUE?Then the NZXT Beta Evo case is and great choice for a mid-tower design!Granted the fit will be a tight one.But you should be able to get the cooler in the case without it being bent or squashed against another components. The only caveat is the possible removal of one side door fan.On the other hand if you use a stock Intel cooling heatsink and fan you will have loads of room leftover even with all of the case fans installed. As for supporting multiple graphics cards the NZXT Beta Evo can fit two or three Nvidia GTX 285 or GTX 292 videos.I am running a dual GTX 295 setup and have no worries about space and cooling. It's definitely snug but not so much that I cannot work on other system components.I'm also worry free when it comes time to replace the video cards with an upgrade. The fact this case can fit and ATX board without worry is and excellent plus.

Well thought out case layout mounting options. How many cases have you had that had loads of interior space that goes to waste because of a poor internal layout. Well you can welcome the great design details of the NZXT Beta Evo.The The 3.5 inch hard drive bay turned to the side to allow easy access to the drives while also saving room for other systems components. The case itself is slight longer than several other designs, but not so much that you would notice it.This allows for the use of longer video cards I mentioned above. The motherboard mounting area had an oversize hole for easy access to upgrade your CPU with a better heatsink sink along with the heatsink mounting hardware. The top-mounted USB and ESATA ports have cabling that is run in separate space that doe not detract for the rest of the usable are for the drives or the motherboard. The NZXT Beta Evo chassis itself is just a little bit wider that average and this allows for the design to accommodate cable routing options for your power, drive, and I/O, and audio cables that other cases cannot.Oh, and speaking of interior cables, the NZXT Beta Evo case has tons of spots for cable tie down points and routing. The Beta Evo is and outstanding design for tidying the build but securing the cables out of the way without having to come up with "creative" methods to do so.The motherboard mounting area also has all of the standoff holes clearly labeled eliminating any guesswork and test fitting when installing the motherboard. All pre-installed case wiring is clearly labeled. There are other case feature I could list too that make building a system use the Beta Evo easy, but I'll let you check out the web site for the rest of the features.

As with every great chassis you are bound to run into point you don't like.My major complaint could also be viewed as a benefit to this chassis. The case itself is made out of relative thin steel.A benefit of the material is a relatively light weight for this case compare to most mid-tower steel chassis deigns. The similar to an aluminum chassis the Beta Evo has a little flex when you have it fully opened up.However, a close examination of the chassis shows the corners have been reinforced. When filling the case with components I never felt like something was on the edge of breaking or stripping out.Once all of the components are installed the Beta Evo is more than sturdy enough for most people.Granted, the NZXT Beta Evo is not Antec steel monster you could drive a Mack truck over without damage. But it also does it weigh 60 pounds when empty either. The smart builders will chose a chassis based on the requirements. For most home users as well as gamers who need to transport their systems to parties and gaming clubs I think the NZXT Beta Evo is smart choice.BTW the case a lock point forgamers who need this. For those of you who wonder just how many components this case will support here is the bill of materials for my current build using the NZXT Beta Evo chassis.
