(More customer reviews)I purchased this docking station for my wife's office so she could use her iPhone to play background music and charge the phone at the same time.It is certified to work with the iPhone 3GS, is a nice looking unit and comes with a fairly useful remote.I have another docking station with a remote that doesn't easily let me navigate the menus but it really only useful for switching tracks, pausing etc.The Sony remote, on the other hand, has menu navigation buttons so you can navigate from a song menu up a level to playlists, artists, albums etc. and I found that it worked quite well.I am a big audio guy so I wasn't very impressed with the overall sound quality.It doesn't play very loud before distorting so while it should be fine for her office for playing background music, I found it unacceptable when I tested it at our house.It gets even worse on the distortion when the bass boost is on.I think that was on by default and it sounded awful.It was better once that was disabled.For the price this docking station is about on par with others in the same price range and has a good feature set but if you really wanted to listen to music at home I would not recommend it.Perhaps a docking station that connects to your home stereo system would be better in that case or you may have to step up to the docking stations in the $400 to $600 range to get a B&W Zeppelin or maybe a Bose system.
