NZXT Zero CS-NT-ZERO Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case (Black/Silver) Review

NZXT Zero CS-NT-ZERO Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Average Reviews:

Great case. EIGHT fans, setup for SLI, I have an EVGA mobo a quad core cpu a huge Zalman cooler and it runs ice cold. The front fan is right in front of the hard drive bays. The space for the power source is up above everything and out of the way. I did have to loosen the fan located on the top of the case to install the power supply, but this took an extra two minutes and the fan went right back in easily. I was concerned that the zalman cooler would hit the four fans located on the side panel, but no problem there. Lots of room in this baby!

NZXT Hush Series 11-Bay Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case Review

NZXT Hush Series 11-Bay Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The NZXT Hush definitely has a great fit and finish. However one has to remember it is a sub-$100 case so expecting full aluminum construction, and high end bundled power supplies are kind of unreasonable.
However the case does come with some seriously nice features. The case door is nice since you have access to front panel buttons even when closed. Airflow is also mostly unobstructed when the door is closed too. The drive bays provide simple installation, but the layout is nothing too special.
Cooling on the other hand is well rounded for it's intended effect, QUIET computing. With only 2 120mm fans (1 front and 1 back) the case does not have as much airflow as some other cases, but this makes it ideal for single card, mid range gaming systems, and workstation PCs.
The noise dampening material is a foam that reduces rattle of the side panels, and rubber grommet drive mounts further reduce vibration.
For the price, the case is definitely a winner. There was a different version of this case that came with the optional 400 watt power supply so the previous reviewer must have been thinking of that version. He must have ordered it from a 3rd party since amazon didnt even sell this at that time. The case is well constructed, and paired with a PSU that doesnt have terribly long cables, you can make an extremely quiet PC with an extremely neat lay out inside for maximum airflow.

Product Description:
Introducing the NZXT HUSH, a chassis designed from grounds up to be quiet while having ample cooling. Game and work without all the noise, thanks to the sound dampening foam that is used on the top, side, and bottom panels of the case. Worried about cooling? Not to worry, the HUSH is equipped with two 120mm fans running at low speeds while still achieving high levels of air flow. High end gaming requires faster hard drives and power supplies, so we've installed rubber padding near fans and hard drives to further reduce the sound level. The HUSH also ships with USB 2.0, Firewire, and HD audio support. Bring more silence to your gaming experience with HUSH.

Wave Master Aluminum Midtower Case TAC-T01 Review

Wave Master Aluminum Midtower Case TAC-T01
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have been having this casing (the Black Wavemaster) for about a year now, I think it is one of the best looking PC cases available. The aluminum construction allows for better heat transfer and weight reduction. The black casing comes with the side panels painted with high gloss auto paint, looks very nice. The front air intake has two 80mm fans attached and the air inlet on the outside is hidden with the use of a very stylish piece of aluminum placed in front of it, which also reflects the blue LED light cast from behind it onto the case. The casing comes with a sturdy aluminum door used to cover the drive bays. I have found that opening and closing the door to be a bit of a hassle so I leave it open most of the time. But the door does look nice when it is closed hiding all the drives and giving the unit a nice clean look.

My only problem with this casing is the internal design. It still uses screws and an `old school' way of mounting the drives. Where as some newer cases notably the Antec cases which use drive rails and some even mount the drives facing the side to allow better unrestricted air flow by having the data cables on the side without obstructing the air flow. But with today's SATA hard disk cabling the air flow restriction due to cabling is minimal, not what it used to be with standard IDE cabling.

The removable motherboard tray is very well designed, with the rear plate thats fits on to the connectors on the motherboard also being on the motherboard plate. This allows you to fix and line up the motherboard to the ports on the back easier outside of the case. Some other designs on have a removable motherboard tray but need you to line up the motherboard with the back face place correctly to fix it porperly. Sometimes this can take up some time as you need to do all this inside the casing and can't really see what your doing. With this design Coolermaster scores well by allowing you to fix the motherboard to the back faceplate outside the casing as the faceplate is also on the removable motherboard tray.

As with any high end casing, the unit does not come with a power supply. Giving the user the choice of using his or her own power supply with the appropriate power rating. I have noticed some users complain about the fact about not having a power supply provided, but this would only add to the cost and it would be a shame if some users had to ditch the provided power supply if their demands were much higher than the supplied power supply could handle.

Thumb screws are everywhere and are a welcome change from having to find your screwdriver to remove the cover and add in an expansion card. If only the 5.25" drives also came with drive rails as I mentioned earlier it would be a great design.

There are a total of three 80mm case fans provided with an option of adding a 4th by replacing the USB, Firewire bay and door on the top of the casing with a 80mm fan. The unit comes with a nice fan grill with filter. I have not required this and have not yet tried to fix this on. If like me, you prefer to have access to USB and firewire / audio on the top mounted ports, simply depress the door concealing them to have access to it. It would have been better to see the use of 120mm case fans to allow better air flow and reduce noise, not that I hear any noise with the standard case fans though, just that it would have provided better air flow. I have noticed some newer casings coming with 120mm case fans.

The power and reset buttions are styled very nicely with a little silver trim on the black buttons (on the black Wavemaster). I am not quite sure if the Silver or the Black version looks best, but one of the reasons for me to go with black was because there are black CD/DVD drives I can fix on to the unit and make it all blend with the same colour. For the silver version I am unsure of any drives that have a similar colour, though recently I have seen some manufacturers of optical drives offering different coloured face plates for their drives. Speaking about colours I have noticed Coolermaster releasing a blue ve rsion and another yellow version of this amazing design.

With all the hassle of using standard screws to mount the drives I would still go ahead and buy another of these cases when I need another PC for my business as after everything is setup you rarely need to remove any drives or mess around with the screws. All in all the external design is hard to beat and I have not seen any other casing that looks better than this.

NZXT Guardian 921 No Power Crafted Series Mid Tower Steel Chassis (Black) Review

NZXT Guardian 921 No Power Crafted Series Mid Tower Steel Chassis
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I used to have a Foxconn TLA-570A case when I started to re-build my PC to turn it into a gaming rig. One of the most important things are the air flow, heat reduction and dust clearance...

Well... those three I suffer with... No enough room for my configuration, the HDD's was fighting their space with the video card (EVGA 9800GTX+) and the CPU cooler (OCZ Vendetta 2) was simple too big for the case that I... had to leave the side panel completely open!!!

So, I decide to look for a gaming rig case and I found this one. I could say that it was an accident but, there's no accidents and definitely, this case fix all my problems.

Is big enough to leave enough room inside for the air flows, is wide enough to install my CPU Cooler and close the side panel with issues, no tools and screws needed, very strong case (it has 0.8mm and 1.0mm steel) and by the way: looks gorgeous!

I highly recommend this case, the room, the functionality, the look. It was worthy what I paid for it.

This is an excellent case with plenty of space for more drives and HDDs than you can ever fill, but if you are unfamiliar with computers, this is not for a beginner. It is a little difficult when you are trying to plug everything into your motherboard, but you can figure it out with enough expierence. It looks amazing, and the built in thermometers are great for positioning on whatever you want to watch. Even now I can see that my Graphics Card is 34 C, my HDDs are 30 C, and my Power Supply is 36 C. Also, this item does NOT come with its own power supply, so be prepared. It is well worth the time and effort. The locking side door adds extra security to your computer's hardware.

The front is touched with an piano black finish and the chassis is reinforced by an 1.0mm steel chassis. The BlackLine is also pre-drilled for external water-cooling and sports an complete screwless installation for 5.25", 3.5" and PCI-E.

Liquid Cooling ready: special feature made for hardcore gamers, allows for water tubing to enter and exit the chassis

Temperature LCD meter: Shows temperature for CPU, HDD, and System. Matching color LCD meter helps user be aware of its system's condition at all times.
Component Vault Design
The Lexa Blackline has a stealthed side window, no screws or rivets visible. The right side panel swings open and is held in place by a secure locking latch.
The Lexa Blackline's acrylic window sports a 120mm silent fan that moves cool air over the graphics card and the processor, significantly lowering the temperatures inside the chassis.120mm fan in it.
An Interior Made to Impress
The Lexa Blackline's side panels open like doors instead of the conventional sliding forward locking. There is room for five internal 3 1/2" drives. Both sets of drive bays are tool less, installation is accomplished by the typical plastic devices that lock into the screw holes on the sides of drives.
A screwless system makes upgrade integrating simpler. All expansion slots have a tool-less clip which swings out when you need to install an expansion card. Instead of the standard expansion slot brackets, the Lexa Blackline has installed brackets that snap into the slots. Directly above the expansion slots are the pre-drilled holes for water cooling tubes. The 120mm exhaust fan installed in the back has red LEDs and is powered with a 4-pin Molex drive connector.
Lexa Blackline has four 5.25 drive bays, with the two 3.5 drive bays below it and room for five additional 3.5 hard drives at the bottom as well as a 80mm blowhole fan with mesh screen to keep dust out of your case.
Another 120mm intake fan with filter at the front bezel. The internal cables which connect the front Firewire, USB 2.0 and audio ports. While the below right image is of the three included thermal probes. They are marked for Hard Drive, CPU and System. The LCD on the front of the case labels the three temperatures for each of these probes.
Detailed Exterior Features
In contrast to the original Lexa design, which featured blue LED fans and LCD display, the Blackline is painted in a warmer color. With the red LED fans at the rear of the case and on the side panel, the glow compliments a red LCD display which gives temperature readings from the front.
True to the original Lexa form, the Blackline offers convenience for consumers who don't want to repeatedly open the door just to power on their system.

New to the list of features are the two pre-drilled holes with rubber grommets; a very simple and inexpensive feature to implement which gives computer enthusiasts and overclockers with liquid cooling to opportunity to mix function with affordable fashion.

Easy Set-up and Management
The Blackline to be an excellent midtower case that still allowed user to utilize full size components. Quad pre-installed fans and a sleek finish makes the NZXT Lexa Blackline a performance chassis with an unique character.

Quite an unusual and appealing shape, so long as you keep it on the ground. If you want to keep it on the desk next to you, its shape seems odd.The curves that look so appealing in the photos don't translate into real sex appeal in actuality. At least it has provision for dual PSUs, a necessity for today's power-hungry quad-GPU setups...but then it misses by still having only 7 expansion slots, when it needs 8-11.Cable management is a real nightmare when you try to keep cables out of the way of its middle fan platform, and although it offers the convenience of a fold-down motherboard tray, it lacks an open area for simply exchanging your CPU cooler's backplate. Finally, if your CPU cooler is a really tall tower, it won't clear the side panel, and you'll have to have the motherboard tray in place inside the case before you can mount it.

Overall, I'd have to say that one should only buy it if you really like the look, yet plan to build a simple system in it.If you really need dual PSUs for quad GPUs and a water-cooling setup, I'd go for one of the gigantic Mountain Mods cases so as to really be able to do everything you want. This case is simply a long list of almosts.

NZXT Hades Black Crafted Sreies Mid-Tower Case (Black) Review

NZXT Hades Black Crafted Sreies Mid-Tower Case
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If you are looking at buying this case then you like the looks of it.It goes without saying that it isn't for everyone.Despite the pictures you find online, past the front panel the rest of the case has relatively boxy lines save the side panels.

Everything fits in this case well but it is a little tight.Someone I know compared it to a porsche: everything fits in tightly and it works very very well.I also have a corsair H50 (like the other reviewer) and I went the other route and took off the side fan completely.I hooked the second fan controller up to the 120mmx38mm radiator fan so it doesn't always sound like a jet engine.Since radiators are all about static pressure a thinner fan isn't going to get it done so if you plan on using the corsair h50 or any other radiator plan on making some mods or losing the side fan.

I have to say that I had big plans on how to fit the side fan on.The easiest, and probably the best for overclocking is to head on over to [...] and buy their 3x5.25" adapter for a 120mm fan fpr $10.You can then mount your radiator and 120mm fan(s) to that and use it as an intake for the front of your case (assuming you only have one cd-rom drive).

I have to say that my computer temps and GPU temps are low and I'm very happy with this case. I can't really see any reason to spend the extra cash and time to put the radiator in the front of the case with the temps I'm getting.

The entire back and front of the case are basically mesh which adds to letting fresh air in and if you go with a cold cathode tube (in addition to the red led fan) this case glows which is awesome. Without the side fan it creates a window effect which is pretty cool too.

You will need a modular PSU with this case, there just isn't enough room for a standard PSU if you want the front 200mm fan to run efficiently.

The other 140mm fan is due in next week from Amazon (if you buy this case, buy the additional 140mm fan if you find it because they have been on backorder for months)

This case is great if you are the type of user who only uses 1 or 2 HDD's and 1 or 2 optical drives. The temp sensors and fan controls are a nice alternative to adding a crazy fan controller.

NZXT SENTRY 2 Accessories 5.25 inch Touch Screen Fan Controller
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is probably one of the better fan controllers on the market, considering 90% of the fan controllers on the market are terrible. For 28 bucks, this is a pretty good deal. Ill break down the good and bad below:
Pro's:
-good price
-works fine
-lcd is cool to look at
-controls all my fans perfectly
-temp is more or less accurate
-Easy to install/use
Con's:
-Creates a huge mess of wires
-Wires are superglued to controller, so when taking it out, u have to take out all the temp sensors as well.
-Bad instruction manual, luckily it was fairly straightfoward anyways.
-BEWARE! THE COOLERMASTER FAN AMAZON SAYS IS FREQUENTLY BOUGHT WITH THIS PRODUCT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THIS FAN CONTROLLER!
It didn't work for me, or anyone else I have talked to. im pretty disappointed that amazon did not recognize that.
-Hasn't happened to me, but ive read lots of reports of screen breaking, and cust. serv. is a huge run around.

Like I said, for 28 bucks, this is a great deal. If it were $40, I would get something else, probably not w/ lcd. This controller is pretty much hit or miss, so good luck if you choose to buy it. If you get one that functions, then it ends up being a very useful and quality product. If not, then you're screwed.

First things first. This case is not suitable, nor is it intended, to house a high-end gaming rig. If that's what you're looking for than move along, nothing to see here.

Where this case really shines is HTPC/Home Server duties. The case is divided into two chambers; the lower houses 9 HDD bays and the PSU, as well as it's own cooling fan; the upper chamber houses everything else, though it only has one exhaust fan. The cooling is sufficient for the average budget/mainstream system, as long as you're not trying to run a pair of high end graphics cards.

The sound insulation does an excellent job keeping things quiet. I have 6 HDDs and a Core2 E7200 based system being used as a media server, and it is nearly inaudible.

The cable management leaves a bit to be desired, but as there's no case window this becomes mostly a non issue. Installation of the system was straightforward, and only took about half an hour. Construction quality is good, and the door feels pretty solid.

If you're looking for a quiet and stylish home server chassis, or a tower to use as an HTPC, look no further.

I couldn't suggest this to anyone unless they feel like taking the extra time to fiddle with the misaligned drive mounting holes and finding their own way to secure the side panel window.

The clips that hold the clear side panel window in place weren't long enough to do the job well. When I got the case they were all rattling around inside and the panel was held in place by only a couple of clips that held by being hot glued in place. The holes for the hard drives just barely lined up with some force applied.
